Ports V is a streetwear-inspired unisex fashion line focusing on diversity in every sense of the word. Their mission is to represent all people who are true to themselves. “Ports V celebrates culture in all its forms,” says creative director Milan Vukmirovic. The brand has been worn by celebrities like actor Kevin Hart and former professional basketball player Dwayne Wade.
The brand was in need of a brand strategy and e-commerce solution to make a global impact. PORTS V already had an e-commerce website that was doing what it needed - selling products.
However, to have a truly successful online store, they needed a clearer brand direction and more of a cohesive image representing Ports V. That’s where we came in.
We included user-friendly navigation that fosters both product and brand exploration. Our team also created seamless dropdowns with images and call-to-actions, making shopping that much simpler for the site’s visitors.
For the product pages, we kept in mind to design them to be purposely minimal. This allowed the customer to see high-resolution, stunning images and easily get the information required for their buying decisions.
Avex created a content hub called The Journal, which focuses on editorial pieces for the brand to tell their story.
For the client themselves, we used ACF Custom Fields to ensure the client could drag and drop blog content to The Journal page. To complete this, we used a custom field that had multiple content types tied to it.
Avex provided an in-depth brand strategy, which included tone of voice, mission statement, photography guidelines, social creative, and copywriting. We also utilized engaging video to enhance the experience and bring life to the banners and persuasive call-to-actions.
Avex worked very closely with the team at PORTS V, including fashion creative director Malin V, to reimagine who PORTS V is. We took a deep dive into their story, their demographic, and the meaning behind the brand.

The final result was a brand guide that influenced the brand’s social content, live events, photography, and tone of voice, as well as a conversion-optimized e-commerce website.
