Hello, I'm John. A New York freelance web designer and owner of Avex Designs, a small web design studio located on Varick Street in NYC. I've been designing and developing digital experiences for start-ups and advertising agencies since 2002. Since then I've worked on a ton of great projects. Some of my specialties include: websites, blogs, mobile sites, custom WordPress themes, social media solutions, iPhone & iPad apps, branding, UI & UX design and rich media campaigns.
Over the years I've held various positions at some major companies. But in 2010 I decided to go out on my own. During that time I've had the opportunity to work with some awesome brands, including: Google, USANetwork, Cinemax, HBO, UBISoft, Sony Music, Bank of America and Glassnote Records. I have also consulted for companies such as: JWT, Havas, Campfire, Monster.com, Estee Lauder, BBDO, NBC, MRM Worldwide, Nickelodeon, MTV Networks and many other New York based companies.
In 2012 I realized Avex Designs needed some room to grow. So, I decided to set up shop at the WeWork Building located at 261 Madison Ave. in New York. Even though I have a shinny new office, with a kitchen (and a beer keg), I still love to work one-on-one with my clients, only taking on a few select projects at a time. Occasionally, I collaborate with other designers and developers, depending on the size of the project. Avex is small by design, but can quickly scale up to meet your project's needs.
If you're reading this, you're probably in need of a website, mobile app or something similar. Maybe you have a project in the works, a cool idea, or no clue what you need. Either way, I can help. So email me and let's discuss. You can also follow me on Twitter and Google+
