Check out some of the Best Mobile Apps for Web Designers. I personally use all of these apps. They are great for keeping projects on track. And life in general.

1. Adobe Ideas

Adobe Ideas in particular appears to be a common part of iOS and Android users’ toolkits, enabling designers to jot down quick ideas that can be later worked on in Illustrator or Photoshop.

2. Dropbox

Dropbox is useful for sharing files and bringing documents to the iOS ‘walled garden. It’s great for quickly accessing files or forwarding documents over to clients, if you are away from your desk. This is a must have app. Available for iOS, MAC and PC.

3. Evernote

Digital scrapbook and archiving tool Evernote enables you to store all manner of files and thoughts, transporting your information “to the magical cloud of elephants”. I use Evernote for meetings, conference calls, tracking tasks, and even to keep track daily life.

4. Harvest

This is a great tool for tracking time. Not only for mobile, the web app is great for tracking time at your desk. You will need a subscription, but this is a must have for any freelance designer. Also a very powerful invoicing system. Available for both iOS and Android. As well as desktop via the website and widgets.

5. WordPress

It’s easy to manage your WordPress blog or site from your iOS device. With WordPress for iOS, you can moderate comments, create or edit posts and pages, and add images or videos with ease. All you need is a WordPress.com blog or a self-hosted WordPress.org site running 2.9.2 or higher.
